Hopewell Ventures Announces $2.6 Million Investment in InStadium, Inc.

Sixth investment by Midwest-focused venture capital fund will enable InStadium to broaden its sports marketing and advertising company

Chicago, October 28, 2005 – Hopewell Ventures, a $110 million venture capital fund licensed by the U.S. Small Business Administration as a Small Business Investment Company (SBIC), announced today that it has completed a $2.6 million venture investment in InStadium, Inc., a ground-breaking sports marketing and advertising company.

Headquartered in Chicago, Illinois, InStadium was founded in 2003 to provide local and national brands with affordable access to advertising inventory and promotional opportunities within the sporting world’s premier venues. Its innovative turn-key sports marketing solutions focus on delivering targeted access to the game day fan. InStadium reaches a demographic populated by active, well-educated consumers with a high level of disposable income.

InStadium leverages exclusive media rights and relationships with a growing list of world class sports venues, presently home to 19 Major League Baseball, 9 NFL, and 2 NCAA teams, to generate valuable, emotionally-charged and highly captive game-day advertising and promotional events. The company has grown from one venue – U.S. Cellular Field (Chicago White Sox) – to its current stable of 30 premiere sports stadiums in just 3 years. Currently, InStadium has a current capacity of over 17,000 individual frame locations installed throughout the portfolio of venues – yielding more than 150 million impressions per year. InStadium’s media boasts a 48% recall rate – three times better than cable television – giving its advertisers the maximum value proposition for their advertising dollar.

Barrett Davie, CEO of InStadium: "The entire InStadium team is delighted to have Hopewell Ventures as a partner in our effort to create a revolutionary sports marketing and advertising company. In Hopewell, we have an experienced and hands-on financial partner, an asset that will help to strengthen and shape InStadium's business model.
