Chicago, June 12, 2006 – Hopewell Ventures announced today that Jeffrey J. Lampe has been promoted to Vice President. Mr. Lampe joined the company as a Senior Associate in May of 2005.
Mr. Lampe’s responsibilities include identifying investment opportunities, coordinating due diligence, negotiating equity financings, and working with portfolio company management teams. Mr. Lampe most recently was Co-Founder and Senior Associate of Gazelle TechVentures, a $63 million Indianapolis-based venture capital firm founded in 1999, where he was instrumental in all aspects of the firm's operations and portfolio. Prior to Gazelle, Mr. Lampe was a Senior Associate with Monument Advisors/Monument Capital Partners. Mr. Lampe currently serves on the board of directors for several technology companies. He holds a BS from Purdue University and an MBA from the University of Notre Dame (High Honors), and he is a Chartered Financial Analyst.
Hopewell Ventures is a $110 million venture capital fund targeting Midwestern-based high growth companies. According to the PWC MoneyTree Report, Hopewell invested more dollars in Illinois companies in 2005 than any other Illinois venture capital fund. The fund is licensed by the U.S. Small Business Administration as a Small Business Investment Company (SBIC).
