Bloober Team Announces Licensing Agreement with Emergent Game Technologies for the Upcoming Action-Adventure Horror Title LAST FLIGHT

Calabasas, CA and Krakow, Poland– June 2, 2010 - Emergent Game Technologies announced an agreement with Bloober Team, a developer focused on high quality games for next-gen consoles, to license the popular multi-platform engine Gamebryo for the downloadable action-adventure horror game Last Flight in development for WiiWare™.

“We were shopping for a fully featured game engine and tool chain ready to use out of the box, and Gamebryo was the only development platform that met our standards,” said Pawel Lewandowski, Lead Programmer at Bloober Team. “In contrast to other engines available for Wii, Emergent’s tech is really well documented. Not only is there a standard API documentation, but all tools are documented as well. Provided examples are useful and commented with great detail.”

Consisting of four individual episodes, Last Flight stars Larry Adelman, an overweight, American food critic who gets put into an extreme situation, involving vampires on a plane, lots of blood, and a sharp pair of meat cleavers. Larry wields two weapons at once, with players controlling attacks by either swinging the Wii Remote™ or the Nunchuk, strung together for combos and fatality-like finishing blows.

"We're extremely happy to use Emergent's technology for the creation of Last Flight’s four episodes,” said Marcin Kawa, Executive Producer at Bloober Team. “The game already looks as good, if not better, than most boxed Wii games and we're going to improve episode after episode to create a truly exceptional product. We hope that Last Flight will set the standard for future WiiWare games."

Exceeding the technical needs of the global development community, Gamebryo and Gamebryo LightSpeed offer an unparalleled framework that allows for quick incorporation of in-house and other third-party tech that is seamless and efficient. Studios are empowered to create their single-player, online and multi-player games in any genre with Emergent’s one-stop cross-platform toolset for PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system, Xbox®360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, Wii™ and PC.
