Chicago, March 13, 2008 – Hopewell Ventures announced today that Jeffrey J. Lampe has been promoted to
Principal and Matthew J. McCue has been promoted to Vice President. Mr. Lampe joined the company as a Senior Associate in May of 2005, and Mr. McCue joined Hopewell as an associate in 2002.
Mr. Lampe’s responsibilities include identifying investment opportunities, coordinating due diligence, negotiating equity financings, and working with portfolio company management teams. Mr. Lampe most recently was Co-Founder and Senior Associate of Gazelle TechVentures, a $63 million Indianapolis-based venture capital firm founded in 1999. He holds a BS from Purdue University and an MBA from the University of Notre Dame (High Honors), and he is a Chartered Financial Analyst.
Mr. McCue joined Hopewell in 2002. His primary responsibilities include the identification and evaluation of investment opportunities, market and industry analyses, pro forma financial modeling and various support activities for Hopewell's portfolio companies. He received a B.A. in Economics Magna Cum Laude from Loyola University Chicago, and is currently pursuing his MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management.
Hopewell Ventures is a $110 million venture capital fund targeting Midwestern-based high growth companies. The fund is licensed by the U.S. Small Business Administration as a Small Business Investment Company (SBIC).
